The Story Behind The Brand
As a UK born and bred mum of 2 boys, I have always been keen for my kids to know how to read, write and speak in Punjabi. All was well with my first born, as we only spoke Punjabi with him from birth. However when my second child was born, my eldest started nursery and was introduced to English. He picked it up quickly, with no problems, but soon he began to opt to speak in English instead! As a result, my youngest child was exposed to English from birth, and ALWAYS chooses English over Punjabi.

I knew it was my responsibility to teach him Punjabi; his mother tongue, but I was at a loss at how to make it seem more fun. This desire for my own family to remain connected to their roots, is what inspired me to start Punjabi Kids TV (and later Punjabi Kids Tv and Toys).

Currently all the drawing, animating, singing, video editing, website building, business researching, uploading, ordering, banking etc is done in house (yup, a one-woman band!).
